First of all I would like to tell this to everyone that this is my first blog and there will be a lot of mistakes. Keep letting me know about my mistakes.
We started our journey from Delhi on 8th January 2021 at 9:30pm for the lake of devtas "Deoria Tal". After travelling for approx 5 hours we stopped for tea approx 40kms before Haridwar. It took us quite long due to fog on our way.
Around 7:00am our car got punctured. So, we stopped to change the tyre but the most surprising thing we got to know at that time only our driver did not know how to change the stepney. Then we started looking for a garage but no shop was open at such early hour. On the way to find garage I asked one resident of that place to help us and he agreed to do so. When he came to help us one more surprise we got was our stepney was also punctured. So, we had to wait for a garage to open. After getting our car fixed we left for our destination.
Travelling for around 15 hours we reached at the point of trekking at 12:30pm. Due to winters journey of 10-11 hours became journey of 15 hours. There we took a room for couple of hours to change and get fresh. After that we had lunch and reached at the trekking point of deoria tal.
From the trekking point Deoria Tal was 2.5 kms. Only after the walk of only 10 mins I was gasping. I think that must be the consequence of Lockdown or living in Delhi since childhood. Jokes apart. I was still leading my group of 6. Our first stop was around 45mins after we started our trek though there were multiple halts too. At our first stop it was a small shop on the way where we drank "Burans".
Little fact about "Burans": Burans, is the bright red flower whose scientific name is Rhododendron arboreum is the state flower of Uttarakhand. Burans is distributed all across Himalayas in the north and Siliguri in the south of the country.
It was really soothing to the body. It gave enough energy to walk for another KM. On our way to the Tal we met multiple people from multiple cities. We were asking to people like how much time it will us take to reach. After every 15mins we were asking but the answer was same that it will take around 40 to 45 mins from here and I was like you must be kidding. why time isn't getting less from 45 mins ? On the way to tal someone told us that near by tal someone is sitting and asking to buy ticket for like ₹150 per person. He also said that you can bargain as he only gave 400 for 9 people.
It took us 2hr 30 mins to reach there. When we reached at the top and were thinking that how we would bargain for the ticket we saw that there was no one and she had gone as it was 4:30pm when we reached.
It was really worth to trek for 2:30hr to reach "Deoria Tal". It was worth for our every step. The place was wo calming filled with so pure breeze. All of our pain gone away just by seeing the view of the Tal and Kedar Peaks behind it.
It was my first time to this place but I think I will surly visit the place soon and share my experience again. After where the path ends there a place to click pictures and mountains in the background after the trees. Do check it out too if you go.

Something i found over Wikipedia about the lake:
Altitude: 2,438 Metres.
By the Hindu mythology, it is also believed that gods used to bath in this lake. This lake is also known as “Indra Sarovar” by the Puranas.
